- This video had a great impact on my way of thinking. I always knew that there were 2 types of happiness. I just didn't know how to put this in words. So, there are natural and synthetic happiness. In other words, you control your own happiness. You can make yourself miserable and spend all your energy on negative thoughts instead of investing your energy into something positive and create synthetic happiness , which as affective as natural happiness.You just have to find tools on how to do that. The story about how people can't make the decisions because they have a choice is definitely about me! I can drive myself crazy over and over about my decision and thoughts "what if?" Thanks to Dan Gilbert now I have a better understanding how to manage that!
